Dare to Try Something New II

We can try new things to increase our knowledge. Like continuing education to a higher level (college) on favourite campus and desired major. After graduating from senior high school, everyone would want to continue to college to increase the quality of theirselves in order to be more appreciated in the community. But not everyone can achieve that dream. There are some people who study in college but not in acccordance with their passion. I'm studying accounting in college.Previously, I never get accounting knowledge because when I was in senior high school I took science major. Praise to God, in college I can follow every subject well.

In addition, trying new things can also trigger creativity and fresh ideas. We can do it by looking for new knowledge outside the subject in college, such as attending various seminars, workshops, and courses. This is done to generate ideas and knowledge from college of higher value. During the beginning of my study, I have followed many national and international seminars that made me have more ideas and experiences. I also attend workshops and courses that are a requirement to graduate and it is very useful for the work life. This is done in order to have added value for the company.

Dare to try something new

Introduction: it's better to choose to stick with what i know, because try out new things can add experience in life and make life more interesting.

Supporting idea 1: add insight
Example                : continue education to a higher level (college)
Reason                   : raise inner self quality
Personal story        : I'm studying in accounting majors. Previously I never get accounting science because when I was in senior high school I took science majors.

Supporting idea 2: trigger creativity and fresh ideas
Example                 : attend various seminars, workshops, and courses
Reason                   : generate ideas and knowledge with high value
Personal story        : During the beginning of my study in college, I have often attended national and international seminars that made me have more ideas and experiences. I also attended workshops and courses that are a requirement to graduate, the knowledge is very useful for work life.

Conclusion : do not be affraid for try out new things because this is a very important thing and must be done by everyone if you want to really enjoy the journey of life.

MECCA

Who doesn't know where the qibla of Muslims is? Who doesn't know where Prophet Ismail and his mother (Siti Hajar) left alone? Who doesn't know where the Zamzam is? Yes, all Muslims must know that the answer is in Mecca. Mecca is the main city in saudi arabia. This city is the destination of Muslims throughout the world to perform the hajj, which is mandatory for those who are able to do it and the sunah for those who don't. In this city, there is a main building named masjidil haram with kaaba in it. This city is a historical city of Muslims, from the direction of qibla, the birthplace of the prophets, and where the zamzam is found.

Alhamdulillah, in 2009 my father and mother had the opportunity to perform the hajj. When they came home, my mother told me her experience while in Mecca. She was very glorify kaaba and masjidil haram. She said praying in the holy mosque and actually being in front of the kaaba which can only be seen from the picture feels like a dream. In Mecca, she also met many people from various countries. I always pray that someday we can go there as a family to perform the hajj.

There are also many students who came from Indonesia to continue their studies and many of them are got a scholarship. Outstanding !! They got a scholarship by memorizing the 30 juz of Quran. According to an article, those who can memorize the Quran are not ordinary people, they are extraordinary people, besides having a strong intention to memorize they also worship diligently and certainly never postpone the time for worship. In addition to get the heaven, they also get the world. To be honest, I am very jealous of them because they can pursue the world without forgetting the afterlife.

Here's my little story about Mecca, the city that the Muslims want to visit. Although I've never been there but I am very excited to be invited there. I knew i would go there someday, yeaaah someday.

INTRODUCTION

Hello everybody, let me introduce my self. My name is Astri Kusuma Pertiwi, you can call me Astri. My father told me my name means, Astri is religious, Kusuma is Hero, and Pertiwi is country, so my father hoped that I can be a religious hero of country. I am the third child of three brothers, I have one big sister and one big brother. My birthday coincides with the anniversary of Indonesia. I am 20 years old. I was borns in Serang city. Since childhood, I lived in Cilegon city until I graduated from high school, and after that I moved to Depok city to continue the education to higher level. I like watching action movie, shopping (if i have more money), culinary tour, travelling, etc.

My father worked as BUMN employee in financial section. I hope I could follow his path when I graduated from here. Me and my sister and my brother had different passions. My sister worked in medical field, my brother worked as an engineer, and I liked finance  field, therefore I chose accounting program. My mother always told us that whatever the job we do, do it with sincerity and full responsibility

Some people said that I was an ignorant person, but behind it I had a great sympathy, just that I couldn’t show it in front of people. I had a lazy habit that makes me procrastinating my tasks.

What is TOEFL

My experience of toefl exam. Reading - The reading section was breeze but I still put a lot focus in it as I tended to lose focus in the practise test and do silly mistakes. Nevertheless,I goofed up somewhere and got a 28. I was a bit tired by the end of it though. The passages were dead boring and very long so try to improve your stamina. Listening - I dreaded this section the most as I had heard from many people that others students speaking section can come up when you are trying to listen very carefully and I have had friends who screwed up this section just because of this section. So I just pressed the headphone tighter to my head and started listening and taking down notes. But god wasn't on my side that day because not only did 3 other people nearby me started speaking, I also got experimental section in it. Speaking - I goofed up this section pretty bad. I don’t know what happened, I got a stage fright and started stammering. This was not a good section for me. Writing - This was a pretty easy section. On the independent topic essay I just rambled on for like 750 words giving detailed examples for every point I raised. On the integrated writing question I noted down every point that the lecturer said and then just compared it with the complementary points from the passage. Just riht as much as you can.
